We are looking for a talented, high-energy team player to be part of our backend core engineering team developing Zscaler’s big data analytics platform. Each day Zscaler’s Clouds processes over 12 billion transactions with near-zero latency to instantly secure over 12 million users in 180+ countries. All transactions are logged in a compressed and indexed format and are available for real time reporting and analytics.
Requirements
- Strong C programming skills for high-performance systems
- Strong analytical and algorithm design skills
- Good understanding of computer networking and systems & architecture
- Interest in data visualization and ability to learn new technologies/frameworks related to it
- Self-starter, quick-learner, able to multi-task and collaborate with others in a team environment
- Familiar with complete software development cycle
Desired skills:
- Experience with JSON data format and good understanding of web development
- Experience with large flat-file data sets
- Working knowledge of FreeBSD or any Unix system
- Sound knowledge of HTTP, TCP/IP and basic networking protocols
- Good understanding of distributed systems
